The above shows an increase interest in rabbits. There is an evolution in rabbit farming and you should part of it

Then you should ask…

Why is cant I just start my rabbit Farm?

The answer is simply

 Set-up/Start-up cost and care.

For you to start RABBIT Farming commercially, you will need to invest heavily on "fixed and running cost”. Things such as construction of cages, good water system and Plumbing and Staffs (Manager, Vets, Cleaner, and Security) are pretty expensive. Mind you we are not talking about backyard rabbit farms. Also rabbits are very sensitive animals and delicate and a lot is required to tend for them if you are to succeed commercially.

So, what are you expected to do?

All you have to is Buy a slot, and make profits.

Slot and Cost Analysis

Each Slot consist of a rabbit doe

The total cost required per slot is N30,000.

The breakdown is expressed below per pig

Cost of DOE at grower stage is – N9, 000

Feeding, Vaccine and Supplements – N1,500 per month – N18,000 (12 month)

Rent and Utility – N700 per month – N 8,400 (12 month)

Crossing fee – N600 one-time fee per cycle.

Note: The cost analysis is for 12 months..

Profitability

RABBITCASH is base purely on sales of weaned rabbits. The price of wean rabbits is N2.500. Birth cycle for a year is 3. Our target is average birth of 5 kits per cycle. Rabbits give birth to 1-8 (min) kit per litter.

So how much am I expecting? Profit for 2 cycles and your initial investment of N 30,000. That is =N=25,000 P/A

Do I have to wait for a year to get this? The answer is NO. Profits from first cycle is given after 6 months,

So the more slot you purchase the more money you make. For a slot you make =N=12,500 after six months and =N=25,000 after a year plus your initial investment. For 2 slots you make =N=25,000 after 6 months and =N=50,000 after a year plus your initial investment.
